Specialist in Dental Sleep Medicine & Craniofacial Pain
Dr. Steven Olmos is an internationally recognized lecturer and researcher, and the founder of the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre International.
He graduated from the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry, and has dedicated the past 26 years to the fields of Craniofacial Pain, TMD and Sleep Disordered Breathing. He has extensive post graduate education and board certifications in both Craniofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr Olmos is an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry, where his systems of diagnosis and treatment are utilized at the school’s Craniofacial Pain Center.
He is currently directing research in these fields through data collection at 35 TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centers including the Craniofacial Pain Center at the University of Tennessee. This effort is focused on establishing protocols between Dentistry and Sleep Medicine for optimal treatment outcomes in patients with Sleep Disordered Breathing including Sleep Apnea.
Dr Olmos has developed courses teaching his protocols for the identification, diagnosis and treatment of TMD, Craniofacial Pain and Sleep Disordered Breathing. He teaches these courses in Canada, Australia, United Arab Emirates, U.K (London) and the U.S.A.
